EnergyPlus

The EnergyPlus Distribution License Agreement grants you the right to distribute the EnergyPlus executable or use it in a web-based application. Click here for more information on the Distribution License Agreement and other EnergyPlus license types.

To obtain a Distribution License Agreement, please follow these steps:

1. Please print out two copies of the EnergyPlus Distribution License Agreement, below. You should fill out both copies of the agreement, sign them and mail both to us; we will return one countersigned copy to you.

2. The licensing fee is US$1000. Payment should be made in U.S. dollars, via check made payable to "The Regents of the University of California (EnergyPlus)".
   
   
3. At the top of page 1, please be certain to fill in the current Version Number of EnergyPlus.
   
   
4. In the middle of page 1, please fill in all the blank spaces on both copies, entering your name and address and other contact information.
   
   
5. Sign and date both copies.
   
   
6. Return both signed agreements along with payment to:

Upon receipt of the signed agreements, we will contact you with instructions for accessing the EnergyPlus code and documentation. Also, we will countersign each original you return to us and return one fully signed original to you for your records. If you have any questions or comments, please send an e-mail to TTD@lbl.gov.

If you want to obtain EnergyPlus source code you must purchase a Source Code Addendum to the Distribution License Agreement in addition to the Distribution License Agreement. The Source Code Addendum is not available separately; however, it may be purchased at a later date.
